# Onboard a Malaysian company

Register a Malaysian company for e-invoicing. Have its legal name, branch name, registration number and other identifiers ready.

## Before you start

Select **Malaysia** in your workspace and choose the environment where the company will send invoices. Have the company’s legal name, registration number and branch name. Enter only identifiers that belong to that company.

## Register the company

1. Open company onboarding and select **Malaysia**.
2. In **Business Information**, enter the company’s registered legal name, branch name and company registration number. Add the other company, tax, contact and address details that apply.
3. In **Source Details**, read the source information and select **Next**.
4. In **Peppol Setup**, select **Next**. Peppol participant details can be configured later from the company dashboard.
5. In **Peppol Details**, review the company information shown. Check the legal name, branch and registration number before continuing.
6. In **Upload Identifier**, review the company information. Select **Complete Onboarding** to submit. Business identifier documents can be uploaded later from the company dashboard.

The final screen confirms when onboarding succeeds. If a required field is missing, return to the marked field and enter the company’s actual value. If validation reports an error, correct the reported information before submitting again.

## Authorise the intermediary in MyInvois

Complyance submits the company’s documents to MyInvois as its intermediary, so the company has to authorise Complyance in LHDN’s MyInvois portal. Do this in the MyInvois sandbox (preprod) portal for sandbox, and again in the production portal before you go live. You do not register an ERP system or create a client ID and secret.

1. Ask <support@complyance.io> for the intermediary details to enter for Complyance.
2. Sign in to the MyInvois portal as the company’s administrator, and switch to the company if you represent several.
3. Open your profile menu and select **View Taxpayer Profile**.
4. In **Representatives**, open **Intermediaries** and select **Add Intermediary**.
5. Enter Complyance’s details, select **Search** to confirm them, and set the period during which Complyance may submit for the company.

Complyance appears in the **Intermediaries** list. Complyance cannot submit the company’s documents until it does. See LHDN’s [Login as Intermediary System](https://sdk.myinvois.hasil.gov.my/api/08-login-as-intermediary-system/) for how the permissions apply.

## Add the company’s digital certificate

LHDN requires documents submitted through its API to be signed with a valid digital certificate issued by a certificate authority in Malaysia. The certificate carries the company’s TIN and its business registration number. See LHDN’s [Signature](https://sdk.myinvois.hasil.gov.my/signature/) page.

1. Open the company in **Onboard**.
2. In the **Digital Certificate** row, select **Upload Certificate**.
3. Choose the certificate file (`.p12`) and enter its PIN.

The row then shows the certificate and its status. Before it expires, select **Renew Certificate** and upload the new one; it becomes active when the current certificate expires.

Next, [check the Malaysia invoice fields](https://docs.complyance.io/countries/my/fields/) before sending a document.
