# Partner Platform for system integrators

Certify your workspace, take on clients and connect their sending systems to Complyance. You need a system-integrator workspace in Partner Platform.

A system integrator connects a client’s ERP or other sending system to Complyance. Your Partner Platform workspace holds the clients you work for and the tools to map and test their invoice data. Each client keeps its own One Platform workspace, where its documents are sent and its sources and API keys live.

## What is in your workspace

The **Client Portal** has **Clients management**, **Partnerships**, **Manage Subscription**, **Sales** (when your workspace has it), **Credits**, **Notifications**, **Webhooks**, **Support** and **Settings**. They work as they do for [accounting firms](https://docs.complyance.io/partner-platform/accounting-firm/#what-is-in-your-workspace).

The **Developer Portal**, the Partner Platform’s Developer portal, is where you do the integration work:

| Menu item | Use it for |
| - | - |
| **Integration engine** | Map a client’s invoice payload to GETS, the Complyance standard invoice format |
| **Testbeds** | Run the mapping against a country’s required test cases |
| **Certification** | Certify your workspace for a country |
| **Notifications**, **Webhooks** | Alerts and event delivery |

## Certify before you add clients

A system-integrator workspace must be certified for at least one country before it can add clients. Until then, **Clients management** shows **Certification Required** with the message `Complete your certification to start adding customers.` Choose **Go to Certification** and follow [Complete partner certification](https://docs.complyance.io/partner-platform/certification/).

## Get a client

There are two ways a client reaches you:

- **You add the client.** Once certified, open **Clients management** and choose **Add new client**. Choose a **Commercial Mode** for who pays for its usage. The modes are the same as for [accounting firms](https://docs.complyance.io/partner-platform/accounting-firm/#commercial-modes).
- **An accounting firm assigns a client to you.** The firm creates a partnership request, support sets up the connection, and the firm assigns the clients included in the work. Review them in **Partnerships**, under **Assigned connections**. See [Connect with a partner and assign clients](https://docs.complyance.io/partner-platform/partnerships/).

A connection to another partner does not give you every one of its clients: only the ones it assigned. Before you start, confirm the client, the country and the documents it will send.

## Build the integration

1. In the Developer portal, open **Integration engine** and create an integration for the client’s country and document types from a sample of its payload. See [Create an integration](https://docs.complyance.io/one-platform/developer-portal/integration-engine/create/); the steps are the same.
2. Map the payload’s fields to GETS, then the country fields.
3. Open **Testbeds** and run the required test cases in Sandbox until they pass.
4. In the client’s One Platform workspace, link the client’s [source](https://docs.complyance.io/one-platform/developer-portal/source-management/) to the integration and create its [API keys](https://docs.complyance.io/one-platform/developer-portal/api-keys/). If you cannot open it, ask the partner that manages the client to [review your access](https://docs.complyance.io/partner-platform/clients/#manage-who-can-access-the-client).

In the client’s workspace, an integration you set up shows **Managed by partner**. The client can view it but only you can change it.

Send a representative invoice in Sandbox and check its final status before you treat the integration as ready.

## Hand over

Agree who will maintain the integration and who needs access to the client’s documents and reports. Keep API keys in the client’s or your approved server-side secret storage; never put them in a handover document. Your integration work and the client’s document access are separate: review [client access](https://docs.complyance.io/partner-platform/clients/) with the managing partner.

## If the client is unavailable

Check that the partnership is **Active** and that this client is assigned to it. A **Pending**, **Suspended**, **Revoked** or **Replaced** connection must be resolved before you rely on it.
