Fix ZATCA validation errors

Find and fix the validation errors that can stop a Saudi Arabian invoice from reaching an accepted state with ZATCA. Start with the document type and actual seller, buyer and line values.

Check the GETS request

Select Saudi Arabia and the document type in the field reference. The Requirement column shows which GETS fields are mandatory, optional or conditional. In List with sample request, choose the document type and inspect the fields for that selection. Use values from the invoice and the company’s registration records.

A 422 response from Unify lists fields that failed validation. Read each getsPath and message, correct the source data, then send the document again. See Unify errors for the response format.

Check the ZATCA result

After submission, check the document status to confirm whether ZATCA accepted the invoice. Do not treat the request’s HTTP status alone as the authority’s final result.

ZATCA publishes the Electronic Invoice Data Dictionary and XML Implementation Standard. Those documents define the invoice content and XML rules, including rules specific to the invoice type and tax treatment. Use the current published standard when a ZATCA rule is returned. The rule identifier in the rejection helps you find its definition.

Correct the source invoice and send it again after checking the returned reason. Keep the original tax and amount values supplied by the issuer; do not replace missing values with guessed ones.
