Connect with a partner and assign clients
Coordinate client integration work between an accounting firm and a system integrator. You need access to Partnerships and permission to assign the relevant clients.
Request a connection
Open Partnerships in the Client Portal. Use Contact support or Create request when available to describe the countries, sending systems and client work you need help with.
If the page shows Go to Certification, complete that requirement before requesting the gated service. The connection is arranged through support; entering a requirement does not immediately activate access to another workspace.
Check the connection status
Review Open requests and Assigned connections. A Pending request is still awaiting fulfillment or assignment. Confirm the intended connected workspace before adding clients.
An Active connection is available for the agreed work. Suspended, Revoked or Replaced connections should not be treated as active access.
Assign the client
On the intended connection, choose Assign client. Select one of your available managed clients, review the selection and choose Assign.
You should see the client under the connected workspace. This shares the selected client for the partnership; it does not assign every client in your workspace.
Review or remove an assignment
Use View details to review a connection and Edit details when its requirements change. To stop sharing one client, choose Remove client, read the confirmation and select Unassign for that client.
Unassigning clears that client’s integration requirements from the connection. Confirm the effect with the people responsible for the integration before changing an active assignment.
If something goes wrong
No clients are available to assign: check that you manage the client and that it is not already assigned in the relevant connection.
A request stays pending: open the existing support request with its reference rather than creating duplicate requests.
The integrator cannot see the client: check both the connection’s status and the individual client assignment.
Next, review client access for the people who will operate the client workspace.
