Webhooks
A webhook tells your system when something happens in Complyance, without polling. Use it to react to purchase invoices as they arrive, and to credit changes in an ISV workspace.
You register an HTTPS address in the Developer portal and choose the events you care about. When one of those events happens, Complyance sends a POST request to that address with a JSON description of what happened. Your backend reads it and carries on with its own work.
Events covered in these guides
Purchase invoice events are for the buyer side: invoices you receive. Sales invoices you send to customers do not raise these purchase events.
Where they work
The setup form offers the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Belgium and Germany, with Sandbox and Production environments. Choose the country used by your purchase integration. A webhook belongs to one country and one environment, chosen when you create it.
How an integration fits together
- Create a webhook in the Developer portal, with signing turned on.
- Subscribe it to the events you want.
- Receive each delivery in your backend and check its signature.
- Use the event ID to skip anything you have already handled, then act on the payload.
Next: Set up a webhook.
